Real Estate Litigation
As a major part of our Litigation practice, we assist clients in achieving cost-effective resolutions in a wide variety of real estate oriented disputes through negotiation and mediation or, if appropriate, arbitration or trials at all levels. We represent financial institutions, developers and landlords with landowner interests, title issues and easement claims. We have extensive construction defect experience. We work with troubled real estate projects and investment workouts, restructurings and certain bankruptcy claims. We litigate disputes involving adjacent property claims. We also assist clients with negotiating and mitigating claims in insolvency proceedings.
We represent owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and financial institutions with legal issues that arise in public and private construction projects. Specific dispute-related services include prosecution and defense of mechanic’s lien, stop notice and payment bond claims. We prosecute and defend construction contract claims, including delay, disruption, acceleration, inefficiency and defective work claims. We have prosecuted and defended many commercial Unlawful Detainer cases.
